Aurin presented with a worsening cough which wasn’t responding to treatment. After stabilising him on fluids, we x-rayed and scanned his chest. Aurin had severe pneumonia which had caused a pyothorax – infected fluid developing in his chest cavity. He was extremely poorly and spent 48 hours in hospital on intravenous antibiotics. After 3 weeks and a lot of good care at home, Aurin is feeling much better and is now happy to ask for treats in the consult room again! He’s been such a lovely dog to treat and a real legend 🏆💙🐾
